Flag of the British Straits Settlements (1874-1942)

The flag used to represent the Straits Settlements was a British Blue Ensign containing three gold imperial crowns—one for each settlement (Penang, Malacca and Singapore) —separated by a red inverted pall, which resembles an inverted Y (the “three crowns on a lozenge”).
