Raja Bendahara Alang Iskandar as a Volunteer Officer in Singapore, 1918

Raja Alang Iskandar was a Raja Bendahara in 1918 (installed in 1916 when he was called back to Perak from Kuala Lumpur), and he was also a Police Commissioner. Soon after in the same year, his brother Sultan Abdul Jalil mangkat, and Raja Alang Iskandar was installed as Sultan.
