Origin of orchids

Orchids.

The Malays have a tale that describes that trees and plants in this world today were planted by Nabi Noh after the flood. He filled the world with them, and Nabi Tuakal, who came after him, planted ferns and orchids, However, he could find no room for them except on the trunks and branches of trees, and on the uneven surfaces of rocks, where they still grow on to this day.
