This is an advertisement published by the Public Works Department (PWD) in 1930 on the design and construction of the Istana Negara for Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Shah at Bukit Chandan, Kuala Kangsar. The istana was built on the site of the previous Istana Negara which was the residence for Almarhum Sultan Idris I. This new istana was later renamed Istana Iskandariah as we know it today, and was completed in 1933.
