The penganugerahan gelaran ceremony for DYMM Raja Perempuan Muzwin, 1963

A day after the installation of DYMM Sultan Idris Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, DYMM Raja Perempuan Muzwin, adorned with the Pontoh Ular Lidi, proceeded to the Balai Rong Seri at 10.40 am. The procession was led by the Panglima Perang Kanan and the Panglima Perang Kiri. On the right of the Raja Perempuan was the YTM Che Puan Besar Wan Rafidah (wife of the DYTM Raja Muda) and on the left was DYAM Raja Puan Muda Nur Ema (wife of the DYAM Raja Di-Hilir), all of whom were accompanied by female bentaras.

The nobat Raja Berangkat was then played, signalling the arrival of DYMM Sultan Idris Shah, adorned with the Pontoh Bernaga, Rantai Bunga Nyior and Mahkota (on the Sultan’s tengkolok), whilst wielding the sword Chura Si-Manjakini, at the Balai Rong Seri, led by the Panglima Besar. On the right and left of the Sultan were the DYTM Raja Muda Musa ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Aziz and DYAM Raja Di-Hilir Ekram ibni Almarhum Sultan Yussuf Izzudin. The procession ended once the Sultan was seated on the singgahsana.

Once DYMM Sultan Idris Shah was seated, the YAB Orang Kaya Temenggong stood to welcome DYMM Raja Muzwin binti Raja Ariff Shah to the Balai Rong Seri. Subsequently, the YAB Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja also stood to angkat sembah before reading the Surat Penganugerahan Gelaran. Once the proclamation was read, the YAB Orang Kaya handed the Surat over to Sultan Idris who then stood to descend from the singgahsana and gave the Surat to the Raja Perempuan, and the both of them would proceed to be seated at the singgahsana together.

The YM Raja Chik Muda Pawang Di-Raja then would go before the Sultan and Raja Perempuan to sprinkle the Air Panca Bicara. The YAB Orang Kaya Bendahara would then again stand to proclaim “Daulat Tuanku” three times, which was repeated by members of the audience in the Balai attending the bestowal ceremony. The nobat played, and the ceremony was brought to a close with a doa selamat (prayer) read by Mufti of Perak.

  1. Salam Engku.
    Salam Ikhlas

    • Waalaikumsalam.

      Wassalam.
